HSE University Undergoes Staff Changes in Senior Management Team
Sergey Kadochnikov, Director of HSE in St. Petersburg since 2013, has announced his plans to leave his current position. Anna Tyshetskaya, current Vice Rector for Education at Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, will take over as Director of HSE University’s campus in St. Petersburg. Elena Odoevskaya and Irina Martusevich will be appointed HSE Vice Rectors.
HSE University Rector Nikita Anisimov thanked Sergey Kadochnikov for his work and for the results achieved at HSE in St. Petersburg during his tenure. He stressed that the St. Petersburg campus has set a new standard for the entire University. It is Professor Kadochnikov who came up with the conceptual idea of 'four campuses, one university' under which HSE University is successfully developing today.
Drawing from personal experience, Nikita Anisimov highlighted the difficulty of managing a regional university. He said that Sergey Kadochnikov will remain on the HSE team to supervise the next stage of its development with full support from senior management.

‘Continuity in the life of HSE in St. Petersburg will be preserved. I won’t dismiss Sergei Mikhailovich. His words are backed up by his actions, and he is a role model for all leaders.’
Sergey Kadochnikov explained that he is handing over leadership responsibilities to a young management team. He thanked his colleagues for the work they have done together, noting that the outstanding results and rapid growth in education quality indicators demonstrated by HSE in St. Petersburg in recent years would not have been possible without a team of like-minded professionals that grew up within the walls of the university.
Sergey Kadochnikov
‘The HSE campus in Saint Petersburg is entering a new stage of development, and at this stage, it is very important that the campuses have a fresh new vision in the university's multi-campus system. This role should be entrusted to the young. My task was to raise a team of professionals within the university's management team for whom the campus would become a second home, a place for personal and professional growth. With the support of Yaroslav Kuzminov and the new HSE Rector, Nikita Anisimov, I made significant changes to the university’s management team. The new, young team can solve new kinds of problems, and I will be here to support their plans and undertakings. I would like to thank everyone on the university team for our partnership!’
Vice Rectors Maria Yudkevich and Sergey Roshchin, Senior Director for Strategic Planning Irina Karelina, the deans of faculties and the heads of research departments at HSE University in St. Petersburg also thanked Sergey Kadochnikov for his work on the university team, wished him success and expressed their hopes for further cooperation.
Nikita Anisimov introduced campus staff to the new director of the HSE campus in Saint Petersburg, Anna Tyshetskaya, who is currently serving as Vice Rector for Education at Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. She previously worked as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and was a member of the Academic Council of the Far Eastern Federal University. She graduated with a PhD in Philology from Tomsk State University.

Elena Odoevskaya, who has worked as senior assistant to HSE University Rector for the last three years, will be appointed vice rector. She will also supervise the coordination and implementation of digital transformation projects at the university.
