HSE Symphony Orchestra Performs for Full House at HSE Cultural Centre
The concert, ‘Music of the Spirals of History’, which was held on February 20 at HSE’s Cultural Centre on Pokrovka, featured the HSE Symphony Orchestra along with visual effects produced by the educational project ‘Classical Music in Focus’. The project aims to bring classical music to a new generation of music lovers. The sold-out musical event was open to the public.

Youth and Summer: HSE’s Open Air Music Event
On May 25, festival goers enjoyed music outdoors at the design factory ‘Flacon’ as part of HSE’s music festival. The festival has been running for 15 years. This year’s celebrations were carried out in style, and, for the first time, outside.
Force Majeure choir awarded Chart Dozen prize
Participants of HSE’s choir Force Majeure and their coach Svetlana Sandrakova have been awarded the national music award Chart Dozen (Chartova Duzhina) in the Concert of the Year category for participating in the Sniper Choir. The choir accompanied a performance by the group Night Snipers and its soloist Diana Arbenina at the 2014 Nashestvie rock festival. The award ceremony took place on February 13 at Crocus City Hall.
Night at the Cultural Centre 2014: Ten Hours of Entertainment
On December 13th, 2014, one of the largest annual entertainment and educational events took place, organized by HSE not only for students and staff, but for all Muscovites, - Night at the HSE Cultural Centre.
‘Professors’ music,’ or Klavierabend for two
On December 5, the Higher School of Economics hosted the Piano Evening for Two. The event lasted two hours, during which time Michel Grabisch, Professor of Computer Sciences at University Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne, and Sergei Erofeev, Vice Rector of HSE, performed compositions by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Ravel and Bach.
