Beginner-level specialists and students, as well as graduates of any university, regardless of geographical location, are invited to participate. Works can be submitted in the categories of Identity, Object Design, Illustration and Comics, Game Visuals, and Sound until January 21, 2024. Launched by the HSE Art and Design School in 2022, the competition collected more than 1,500 works in its first year. Its goal is to present a unified platform to host original ideas and spectacular projects in all areas of design, contemporary art, and fashion, as well as to draw the attention of the creative community to the development of professions in the industry.

On November 24-25, 2023, the 12th ICEF-CInSt International Finance Conference is being held. The event shall be organised jointly by the International Laboratory of Financial Economics (LFE ICEF) and the Centre for Institutional Studies (CInSt). HSE Art and Design School and VK's ‘Prostor’ platform have launched a joint educational course for those who dream of organising sold-out concerts and leading musicians to success. Participants on the free intensive courses of the music management programme ‘Prostor’ x ‘Sound Art and Sound Design’ will learn how to promote musicians, organise concerts, communicate with labels and launch collaborations with brands.

Machine Learning (ML) is a field of AI that examines methods and algorithms that enable computers to learn based on experience and data and without explicit programming. With its help, AI can analyse data, recall information, build forecasts, and give recommendations. Machine learning algorithms have applications in medicine, stock trading, robotics, drone control and other fields.

For the tenth year in a row, the Competition of Innovations in Education (KIVO) is accepting innovative project submissions—educational training resources, apps, platforms, events and media, methodological and technological developments and much more. The top 30 projects will be presented at the ‘startup alley’ of the Catalyst for Innovation in Education conference in Moscow. The creators of the best project will be able to conduct joint research with scientists from the HSE University Institute of Education. There will be two waves of applications; the first closes on October 15 (and offers certain bonuses to project creators), while the second closes on October 31.

The Faculty of Economic Sciences announces its annual contest to predict the winners of the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel in 2023. Participants can name up to three candidates.

HSE University’s Online Campus has presented the new English-language course ‘The Digital Transformation of Business Practices in Southeast Asia’ on the National Open Education Platform. The online course by Evgeny Kanaev, one of the leading regional scientists and professor at HSE University’s Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, examines the features of business practices in Southeast Asia and the impact of digital transformation on them.

Experts from Russia and China will discuss new challenges and opportunities for business cooperation between the two countries, including those using advanced digital technologies. The event will take place on September 28 at the HSE building on Pokrovsky Bulvar. The forum is expected to be held annually.
